OUCH!

I so got my ass kicked today. Ouch! I was brave enough to go thai boxing again after a while and little did I know this'd be the day I get the most impressive bruise ever. Yes, conveniently just a week before Katri & Lauri's wedding. It'll go just perfect with my new sleeveless dress... I know, thai boxing is just asking for it but still.

So, I got paired with a girl 1) a lot taller than me and 2) a lot more pro-looking than me. Obviously, it doesn't take much to be taller than me but she was 2 metres or something silly like that. And I think my beginner look is fairly obvious to the eye and you'd think that that might affect how hard you kick someone. But no. I got thrown about properly (I flew 2 metres back whenever she kicked me in the stomach etc). And the bruises in my wrists, they came from her killer side kicks that'd crack even an elephant's ribs. She actually bruised me through the pads! Some of the kicks came alarmingly close to my head but all I could do was to trust her skills. Madness. Absolute madness but good fun.

Just like a rubber ball I'll bounce back and will definitely go back next week. Next time I'll just be a bit more careful at the point where they say "Now, take a pair".
